Ron joined the Air Force in January of 2004. He enlisted as a Military Police officer A.K.A. Security Forces. Ron's initial military took place in San Antonio, TX at Lackland Air Force base. From there, he was assigned to Air Combat Commandand stationed at Holloman Air Force base with the 49th Security Forces Squadron in New Mexico. While stationed at Holloman Ron was tasked with safeguarding war fighting assets, specifically the F117 Stealth Fighter. During his enlistment he deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom spending approximately 2 years combined in Baghdad, Basra, and Nasiriyah, protected the President of the United States, and taught as a Combat Arms weapons instructor. As a Combat Arms Instructor he was able to impart his passion and knowledge of firearms to over 3000 Air Force personnel during his tenure. Ron graduated from the Security Forces police academy in the top ten percent of his class achieving the status of 'Distinguished Graduate' and continued this standard as he moved through the ranks until he completed his career as a staff sergeant. Ron is also an expert marksmen is a multitude of small firearms and decorated veteran.
